Those of you who have the original bi-metallic strip type flasher relays (2 terminal type), know that most available now are terrible quality, often not working from new. You can buy a 3 pin relay and easily modify the wiring to fit one, allowing reliable indicators with a proper audible click. Even better are these click here, which allow the fitment of LED bulbs if preferred, & have a variable speed adjuster to allow the perfect flash rate. Gone are the random flash speeds and poxy click from the originals. For the wiring, the orignal relay should be labelled B (for battery power), & L (for the wire to the lever). All you have to do is make sure the B goes to the same on the new relay, the L also, and then add a new earth wire to the E terminal. If you have the 2 pin relay connector block you can keep the terminals & add the last lead without the connector block. On 3 pin block just add the earth to the spare slot (Autosparks looms have the 3 pin connector block as standard with one empty slot).
