Davies Craig Digital Thermatic Fan Switch Mod

Last week I replaced the otter switch seal (MGB item from Moss Europe if you need one). After scalding myself years ago (last time the car was being used), the old otter switch (which was not triggering the fans correctly) popped out at about 105ºC. Not safe! I also decided to bypass this unreliable system, but have only just got round to fitting the new fan control (see title), which still needs the wiring tidying up. It's a decent quality setup & shows the "ambient" temp as standard on a blue LED display (which is the probe temp that you fit within the radiator fins). You just need to set the temp you wish the fans to cut in at using a small button. Once set it triggers the 1st relay at the set temp, and then 10 seconds later triggers the 2nd Relay. This delay can't be altered as far as I can see, but it works very well, is a lot better as relays are used (there were none in the original system), and the fans cut in & out reliably as soon as the temp reading drops by 5ºC. Guessing the reason for the 10 second delay means that there's less current surge than having two fans start at the same time. I'm going to fit the fan controller on the bulkhead next to the Aldon Amethyst, which should look pretty tidy.
